grab a seat at this table

The Table - Main Tour from The Table Project on Vimeo.
On our new tool feature today, I want to take a look at The Table Project (http://tableproject.org/), a great new solution for increasing communication in your church and developing your congregation's online community. I was first introduced to the Table when it was getting launched a few months ago, and I immediately drew the conclusion that it was a knockoff of Facebook specifically designed for the church, but it's much more.
In addition to several of the tools you would find in most social media solutions, it has some great enhancements to build community within your fellowship settings, both large and small. It has social media tools, ways to create small groups, calendars, places for prayer requests and for people to find ways to serve, and quite a bit more.
One of the nicer features is the ability to open other web products you use from within the Table. Included in this group are Facebook, YouTube, Dropbox, and a number of others. I could spend another half hour telling you about the potential of The Table, but I would suggest you watch the video introduction found at the top of this article and check out their website. You can get an invite to start one for your ministry there, as well.
Oh, and did I mention...it's FREE....that's the kind of price that will bring a smile to your church treasurer's face.
